Sheriff Avant called to asked me if I wanted to go with him to visit the trail riders that were in town.  He picked me up at the house and we drove over there.  They were camped over there by the old Jail house. They had a several campfires, it was at night.  It looked real nice.  The old corrals where right there also.  Some of the trail riders had tents.  We went walking in there, Sheriff Avant was real tall and I was real short in comparison.  After he introduced us to them, we talked to them a little bit.  They had horse trailers and horse tied up outside eating hay.  They were on their way to the Stock Show and Rodeo in San Antonio.
